Town trekking was discovered in our beautiful Tuscan cities of art a few years ago. We can follow the paths sometimes characterized by steep hills and steps - demanding but not tiring
On the hills above Florence; A path along the aqueduct and Serchio river near Lucca; Visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa; Discover the town built on the three hills; Walking around the ancient town we can discover Etruscan remains
Tour Highlights
Florence: On the hills above Florence there is one of the town’s oldest churches, the Romanic church of San Miniato. The town trekking starts here with a unique view over the town, it proceeds along the craft district area to reach the cathedral and finishes with a visit to the Boboli Gardens.
Lucca: A path along the aqueduct and Serchio river. Then the walls of Lucca and climbing the Guinigi Tower, the only tower planted with trees.
Pisa: We start with a boat tour along the Arno River and then visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa with 299 steps
Siena: Discover the town built on the three hills. Going up and downhill along the roads there is a surprising view over the town and its cathedral. You can also visit the botanical garden where hundreds of plants from all over the world are grown.
San Gimignano: Discover all the remaining towers.
Volterra: The ancient Etruscan town is situated between the two valleys. Walking around the ancient town we can discover Etruscan remains, admire alabaster sculptures and have a rest with a nice picnic, in the archeological park with a view over the Medici fortress.
